When I saw the name of this product, I thought it was just a gimmick for some tv ad useless product. Boy, was I wrong! I used this blender to make my split pea soup with ham hocks. It worked great, I used it directly in my slow cooker. 6hrs into an 8hr cooking time, I stuck the immersion blender into the pot and pulsed it twice, in like 5 different spots, and that was it. It blended and shredded everything within sight perfectly. I’ve got itty bitty bits of everything in my soup, but the soup itself is still very heavy and thick, not watery.
This is truly a great product. The constuction looks and feels solid. The power on it is just incredible. I actually used it to pulverize ice so fine, I made snow cones with it! If you are looking for an immersion/stick blender, look no more! Get this and I promise, you never, ever, will regret it!

I bought this immersion blender/processor set from the proverbial “other vendor” late at night during a moment of low resistance. Color me pleasantly surprised.
The immersion blender is the star of this show. With a 350 watt powerhead, you really can turn ice cubes into snow — as in ice so fine you can form a ball and throw it if you want — without ever bogging down or even really slowing down. The whole thing just feels powerful and solid. In that regard, it’s what you might expect in a well made serious home version of a professional kitchen tool.
The processor/chopper that comes with the set is also quite well made. The plastics are all well finished, not the least bit flimsy and seem to be of high quality. The top is not just a direct couple between the powerhead and the blades but is instead a gear reduction to slow the blades to a more useful speed with the power to go through most anything you might reasonably expect. The blades in this thing are knife sharp, and they will make quick work of just about any small to medium size chopping task you might think of. I’ve used it for everything from coarsely chopping 10 to 12 ounces of cubed chuck at a time into gorgeous ground beef for burgers or chili to making quick work of chopping celery, carrot and onion for salsa or soup. Just don’t think of this processor/chopper as a blender, at least not in the traditional sense of a bar or counter-top blender. But it is a great chopper/processor/mixer.
In playing around with the immersion blender, I found that it’s possible to make a frothy and creamy frozen coffee drink that has no cream or milk in it at all. Basically, I keep frozen cubes of fresh drip coffee on hand for making iced coffee in warm weather. Add a couple of cups of frozen coffee cubes to the beaker, add about a half to two thirds a cup of fresh coffee or espresso (and sweetener if you use it) on top, and work the immersion blender down through the cubes. Once you get to the bottom, work the blender top to bottom as well as around the beaker several times. The color will change and get lighter and the volume will expand as air is incorporated into the creamy icy froth. It takes more work to write about it than it does to do it. Really easy. Really quick. Really refreshing.
I’ve had cheap immersion blenders before. I’ve even had “infomercial” blenders before. This is the first immersion blender I’ve had that makes me want to have an immersion blender. I now understand what the fuss is about. And the processor bowl is a quality bonus to that. Solid is the word that keeps coming back when I want to describe the whole. The only complaint I have about this set is the name. Ninja Warrior? It’s hard to take a product with a name like that seriously. In this case, that would be a mistake.

|Snow Cones & Shakes In Seconds!!!,
I just got this and have used it twice. Once for snow cones and again for a strawberry shake. This thing is awesome!!! It made snow out of ice in seconds. Took seconds with the shake as well, I’m talking super fast. Pina Coladas are next. I will have to chop some stuff for fresh salsa, update coming soon. I don’t think I’ll be using my blender ever again. The NJ200 has a powerful motor and is very easy to handle. I wonder what it can’t do. One of my better investments.

Well, I just purchased this with skepticism. I have a Cuisinart blender which is loud and does not do a very good job crushing ice. I find my smoothies come our with lumps of ice not crushed. So…. I thought I would give Ninja a try. I am pleasantly surprised! It worked like a charm, within seconds my smoothie was thoroughly mixed, ice crushed, without lumps!! The noise level was significantly less than a blender. I would recommend this to anyone. I think my granddaughter will be receiving one for Christmas!

This is my first video review, so here goes nothing! A couple of notes: I repeatedly said Ninja Master Pro, it’s Ninja Master Prep. I love it!! Something I did wrong in my video review that I just learned. When making ice based drinks, do the ice on it’s own first, then add your other ingredients. It makes the ice more like snow then baby ice chunks. As far as gadgets, this might intrique a non-cook into cooking.
So far, I’ve made hummus, chicken salad, cheese dip, ice cream, italian breadcrumbs and a few various drinks. I hate processed breadcrumbs in the little cardboard cartons. I tossed those and now we make our own breadcrumbs in about 1 minute. So really no extra effort and it tastes so much better, plus I know exactly whats in it(herbs, bread, garlic, cheese)with no added chemicals or preservatives.
For those people who rely on a food processor as their main go-to item when cooking, this might not be your thing. But for people like me, who tend to chop by hand while cooking for two and pull it out about twice a year, it’s perfect. I also am not a huge blender user, though this will get me to try new things, since it’s got 400 watts of power and seems like it can make just about anything. Lastly, dishwasher safe is a huge plus as well.
On those two sites amazon and the ninja official site specifically, I’ve seen it for sale with the ninja pod unit, a blender accessory and a 2 cup processor accessory. Some other places(wholesale clubs and a few tv shopping networks) have it with 2 more added accessories, for the same price(or less!). It’s definitely worth poking around and finding the one that comes with 4 accessories total.
Be kind to the ninja pod. Always use it in bursts and don’t hold it down. I’ve heard of other ninja owners stripping the gears by holding it down trying to use it like a traditional blender. It’s not meant to be used that way.
ICE CREAM:
No lie, I just made ice cream in about 2 minutes. I am shocked and amazed. I used 1/2 and 1/2, white chocolate pudding mix(for flavor) and frozen strawberries with a few semi-sweet chocolate chips thrown in, which it totally shredded and integrated into it. If you have a sweet tooth, add a little powdered sugar. Seriously, it’s like bought ice cream, but better. A-mazing.

I’ve been putting this little blender through it’s paces the last couple of days, and I have to say, it passed with flying colors.
- Icecubes (even the pretty large ones)were not an issue, it blasted right through them and did indeed produce creamy/fluffy snow.
- Grinding nuts – awesome! I frequently use nuts in my baking and cooking, from really coarsely chopped to fine nut flours. It did it all! A regular food processor generally either can’t go beyond the coarse chunks, or has the undesirable three-fold of nutbutter at the bottom, somewhat coarsely chopped nuts inbetween and hardly touched nuts on top! I would usually do little 1/4 cup batches in my coffee grinder, which a lot of shaking and sifting! Not anymore!
- Chopping veggies – performed beautifully. I added chunks of random veggies, they all came out nicely and pretty evenly chopped – even leeks!
- Finely chopped some lemon and orange peel in there too, no problem! Very nice and even processing!
- Processed smoothies beautifully.
- Soups – excellent and creamy processing.
- Pastry dough and crumble toppings – did very well in the even distribution of the cold butter.
The secret to this machine does however seem to be the short pulsing actions. Letting it run for any length of time, doesn’t help much and is in fact counterproductive in this machine! Unless you’re going for pulp, then that’s what you want to do
Right out of the box, it seems quite sturdy. Not indestructable, but pretty sturdy for a plastic food processor.
All the parts seem to be coming apart nicely, even the non slip rings come off, so clean up isn’t a problem! After use, pretty much everything rinsed off quite easily.
The lids do come in handy too!
The only cons I could find:
It’s easy to overload the containers (especially the small one) and then you don’t get the even processing – or you can’t fit the lid on correctly anymore.
Lining up the lids and the machine can take a second or two. They don’t just go on any which way, you do need to line them up.
All in all it is so far the best performing food processor/blender/smoothie maker I’ve used (I’ve used quite a few!) and is an excellent value for the money. Time will tell how it performs on durability!

|Useful but not likely durable,
I purchased this item at Bed Bath and Beyond instead of the Cuisinart blender I had intended to buy. This blender is less expensive, but the next time I am in the market for a blender or a food processor I think I would pick a different item. This seems to be one step up from those terrible Magic Bullets.
PRO: It comes with two different containers, one for “blending” and one for “processing”. You can blend two different things without needing to clean the pitcher in between.
CON: there isn’t much difference between the food processor part and the blender part, other than in size.
PRO: The blades detach for safe cleaning.
CON: The blades themselves are difficult to clean, and I have found that the plastic part stains easily.
PRO: The motor part is light and and the whole thing stores easily. I keep the blades in a shallow drawer with my cookie cutters, the pitchers and lids with my tupperware, and the motor attachments lives inside my large stock pot.
CON: The motor is not very powerful. It blends things well enough if there is plenty of liquid, but even after several blends our smoothies end up with large ice chunks. You also are not supposed to run the motor for more than two minutes straight, but even after about thirty seconds the motor is very warm.
